PROFILE
In today's business world, management skills are high in demand as organizations of all sizes and industries require effective leaders to guide their operations. One way to acquire these skills and knowledge is by studying a management course. SVKP and Dr. K S Raju Arts and Science College association introduced a two year Master of Business Administration (Full Time) programme affiliated to Andhra University during 1993–94 with the approval of Government of Andhra Pradesh and All India Council for Technical Education in rural area. The course structure had been implemented under semester from the academic year 1995-96. The Department of Management Studies (MBA) has been developing Managers and Entrepreneurs for the Society. Today the Department of Management Studies offers MBA with dual functional specialization (Marketing/HR/Finance). The faculty members are a heterogeneous mix of unique skill sets, knowledge base and industry relevant expertise and industry work experience that helps to bridge the theory-practice gap in management education. The team of our faculty volunteers to coordinate different activities of the department with student teams, Campus placements, Industry relations, Alumni relations. They are just a sample among the many vibrant activities.
As of now the Department has produced 31 batches as since its inception. They all have occupied significant roles in the field of industry. Many of them chartered their own successful paths as entrepreneurs and change makers in the society. And some have become respected teachers and researchers in management academia. Our alumni are actively involved in the affairs of the department and make a positive contribution. The students grow in confidence, functional expertise; skill set and gets themselves to be industry-ready. The department believes in grooming them to be responsible citizens in the corporate world.
