DEPARTMENT OF POLITICAL SCIENCE
OBJECTIVES AND GOALS
- To widen the student understanding and broaden the horizons of knowledge.
- To develop moral values among students.
- Marching towards academic excellence.
- To make the subject a study of utility that can generate income.
- To include political awareness among students.
- To inject self confidence and positive thinking.
- To train the students in local leadership by involving carious programmes in the college.
- To arrange the guest lecturers on current trends in politics.

HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT
Since the inception of the college (1974). Political Science Dept of our college has been a jewel to the crowns since then the department has been active in doing some useful extra workbesides the regular coaching. The department earlier it was composite department in union with Political Science, Economics and History. The built-up in the area of the department is 25.7 Sq mts. The subject is taught at undergraduate level in the college in Telugu & English medium.
In 1974, the Department of Political Science was established with the establishment of the college,. Dr.G.Tammaiah, M.A , Ph.D was the founder head of the department a great scholar in the subject; he endeared himself to students as well as lecturer. He was works as Princiapal in the institution for 26 years and Smt J. Sujatha Kumari, M.A, M.Phill become the head of the department. She was works as Princiapal in the institution for 2 years and Dr. K.V.Narasimha Raju, M.A. B.Ed, D.I.H, PGDES, M.Phill, Ph.D, Reader in Political Science and became head of the department and He was works as Princiapal in the institution for 2 years.
Dr.M.S.S. Dharma Reddy, M.A, B.Ed, Ph.D become a lecturer in the department and he left the college, Sri.P.Rama krishna, M.A, PGDES joined in the year 2005. At Present working as a Head of the Department.

- He was awarded Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in Economics on “Terms of Trade” with first class under the supervision of Prof: D. HARI NARAYANA from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam (1984).
