DEPARTMENT OF HINDI

PROFILE

The Department was established in 1995 in college. As per the university rule teaching learning process is followed by annual plan every year. At present the department deals B.A , B.Com, B.Sc all group students. The students of Hindi department are from rural background therefore it is our duty to make him eligible on both from. Theoretical knowledge and commercial knowledge and for this our department organize co-curricular and extra-curricular activity for the overall development of our students discussion among students, interviews, Sahitya mandala performing poems, plays etc. Our department conducts group discussion, seminars for students regarding literally articles, news papers writers, at the sometimes.  Our departmental students are well known for their good academic record, results are concerned.

SCOPE OF THE SUBJECT

The department fond the scope in this critical situation there is a scope to teach Hindi language to the rural students to introduce student with the out ward world. To give student confidence, encourage students and inspire them to learn Hindi language.

THE GOAL OF THE DEPARTMENT

The department of Hindi aim to provide all students opportunities to enhance their communication and critical thinking skill.

Teaching Learning Methods:

A comprehensive Academic plan is prepared incorporating all the Academic Activities and Co-curriculum activities for the Academic Year - 2005-2006

  1. Study projects
  2. Project Presentations
  3. Translations by students (Hindi – Telugu -English)
  4. Hindi News Paper reading by students
  5. Additional curriculum is provided to the gifted and creative students.

Achievements of the Department:

  1. Encouraging the students who secure highest marks by presenting them books.
  2. Acted as member in various committees for youth festivals, National integration camp and sports and games etc.
  3. Participated in the Activities of Janmabhoomi clean and green programmes 1999.
  4. Participated in National study tour in North India in March 1999, sponsored by central Hindi Directorate: New Delhi.

Student Achievements:

Kum.S.HariPriya II B.Sc got Silver medal in Hindi essay writing competition in “Yuvatarangam” - 2015 conducted by CCE Andhra Pradesh.

Department Highlights:

  • The department observes “National Hindi Day” every year in September - 14th celebrated in our college and by conducting competitions.
  • Number of students receiving financial assistance from College, University, Government or Other agencies.
  • 60 students received financial assistance from the Government of Andhra Pradesh in 2015 – 2016.

Remedial teaching programme:-

  1. The department is providing consultancy services to the local High schools children and offers guidance to those who appear for conducted examinations by DakshinaBharath Hindi pracharSabha, Chennai.
  2. The faculty offers consultancy to the local High school children, Inter, Degree and PG students for Hindi Exams.
  3. The faculty has been acting as NSS Programme officer since 1-10-2008,
  4. The department collected 30,000/-  cash as a part of donation to the college Attached Hostel for men.

Seminar/ Conferences/ Workshop/ Organizes by the Department

  1. National: The department of Hindi in collaboration with social sciences & languages with the organized a two days UGC seminar on “Human Rights Education : perspectives & prospects on 20th & 21st August 2016.
  2. The department of Hindi conducted essay writing competition to UG students in TST 2016 (Talent Search Test) organized by IQAC in collaboration with District Resource Center, West Godavari district, 11-11- 2016 on the eve of “National Education Day”.
